Iron Sky sendiri dimulai dengan kisah mengenai seorang model pria berkulit hitam asal Amerika Serikat, James Washington (Christopher Kirby), yang dikirim oleh Presiden negara tersebut (Stephanie Paul) – dalam perwujudan yang merupakan sebuah parodi dari mantan calon Wakil Presiden Amerika Serikat, Sarah Palin – untuk berangkat ke Bulan pada tahun 2018.
Pemilihan James yang berkulit hitam sendiri dilakukan oleh sang Presiden sebagai salah satu bentuk usahanya untuk menarik simpati masyarakat Amerika Serikat agar mau memilihnya lagi untuk menjadi seorang presiden di pemilihan umum yang akan datang.
Sial, pengiriman James ke Bulan gagal berjalan dengan baik setelah James tiba-tiba kehilangan kontak dengan Bumi dan kemudian dinyatakan hilang. James sendiri bukannya menghilang tanpa sebab.
Ia ternyata diculik oleh sekelompok pasukan Nazi yang semenjak kekalahan mereka di medan perang pada tahun 1945 kemudian mengungsi ke Bulan dan membentuk sebuah koloni Nazi yang baru disana.

The convoluted continuation of the adventures of the time-traveling, now-human Monkey King, who attempts to fulfill his divine destiny.
Fantasy adventure about the arrival of Buddhism in China. When the Goddess of Happiness tosses the Longevity Monk and his disciples out of heaven (because the Monkey King tried to attain immortality), the Monkey King is reincarnated as the Joker. He now spends his time chasing two jealous women. When one of them is dying, the Joker goes back in time in an attempt to save her.
This is an update of George Bernard Shaw's "Pygmalion" that changes the genders of the main characters. Hannah Higgins attempts to turn blue-collar Boston beer vendor Elliot Doolittle into a viable candidate and inadvertently learns something of Elliot's side of life.
